Maybe it’s time

This article describes another data exposure for Facebook users this week.  I’m not usually in favor of government intervention in corporate policies, but this case may call for it.  If Facebook requires people to use their real names and suspends accounts that violate their identity policy, then they should be required to protect the data associated with those identities.  Of course many don’t use their real names.  I don’t and I could lose my 9 year old account if someone reported it… worth the risk to not give them my real name.

If Facebook has your real identity, please consider removing your photos and deactivating your account.  Is it even possible to delete one completely?!
