As I have said before, Mozilla products are essential for privacy enthusiasts. Check out their browsers and email software. They just added a screenshot app, too. Privacy and security are important to Mozilla and they work to improve the internet for all users.
You’ve probably noticed more connected devices hitting the market every day that collect and share our data. Mozilla has a list of many of those products, along with helpful information about their privacy policies and security features. The site also allows visitors to rate the products according to a ‘creepy factor’. I was amazed at the variety (some are Adult-Only) and affordability of some of these things. When Amazon and Google practically give away their listening devices, it confirms the idea that our data is the real money-maker. Mozilla’s information about encryption and readability of these companies’ documentation is particularly revealing and helpful when analyzing the creepiness of these products.
