One website is particularly malicious. telephonedirectories.us started appearing in search results with our current phone number and physical address. Clicking on the link showed the page was not active.
I submitted the removal request to Google, and the search result was removed. A few days later, another telephonedirectories.us result showed up, with a slightly different URL, such as the name of the city misspelled, or a different city or zip code in the URL. Same thing, our name, phone number, and address displayed in the snippet of the Google search result, click the link and the page was gone. Submit that one, have it removed. Repeat over 15 times.

A whois.com search showed the company’s registration information as American. I tried to contact the email listed- no response back. I called the phone number. Wrong number. When I called the Registrar Abuse Contact number (provided in WhoIs.com listing), I reached GoDaddy.com. The Customer Service department recommended that I file a report of abuse (Bottom of page, Report Abuse link) and explain that the site contained Inappropriate Content, and describe that it was repopulating each time it was removed. What a pain in the @$$! So, I did this, while their contact form malfunctioned and I ended up calling GoDaddy’s customer service department again to get the abuse@godaddy.com email address to make the report. This agent explained that since we’re military, we may be able to contact the local law enforcement agency and make a complaint that telephonedirectories.us endangered our safety and that the LLEO may have more luck removing the website. He explained that even though the company seems to be registered in the US, it may be hosted elsewhere, and that GoDaddy.com may not be able to do anything about the content. UGH!!! So at any rate, I made the abuse report and will follow up as I receive information back on this website.
