This 2017 video tells how to opt out of one direct mail data broker, Data & Marketing Association.
DMA charges a $2 fee to opt out. I used a prepaid Visa gift card for these transactions. It’s a good idea to keep one of these for any charges you make online. At DMAchoice.org, you have to create a profile using your name, email, and physical address. On the DMA site, you can opt out of catalogs and magazine mailings. They link to the site to opt out of credit card offers.
They also include an email opt out service link to remove 3 email addresses from their direct marketing list and a way to remove a deceased person from mailing lists. As with any of the other opting out processes, always check your email and click on the verification links they send. Save any confirmations to your Privacy Folder. On your phone, screenshot them, and on your desktop, use a snipping tool.
After you opt out, screenshot the confirmations and save them to your Privacy File.

I visited that site and removed our information before filling out the Opt-out form. Pretty scary.

Aristotle is a site that collects and sells your voter registration information. They have a removal email address listed on their privacy page.
